I’ve been searching for a fab slip dress for a few months now. But lets be honest, they are   crazy expensive at typical retailers like Urban or Topshop. So where do I turn to? The thrift shop, naturally. I picked this gem up for only $3.99 at Unique (a local thrift shop in North Chicago.) BUT, If I’m being totally honest with you, I don’t LOVE this exact dress. I think the fit could be better, plus its a bit long; but hey, it’s thrifted, so I cant complain. To fix the length issue, I just knotted the bottom of the dress. And the beauty of thrifting is that I can keep searching at other thrift shops, without breaking the bank.

Since this dress is so feminine, I wanted to make sure I could add a gurney edge to it. By layering a black band tee, with a fishnet-esque long sleeve, then throw in some Doc Martens, it changed the entire feel of the dress.
It was so fun styling this look. It was a little out of my normal, day-to-day look, but something I would totally wear. So tell me, what do you guys think? Do you love this trend as much as I do? Or are you already over it?
I linked similar items below, so check them out; and feel free to shop my look!
